While there are many gun-related organizations, there wasn’t a group exclusively for people who just love and want to learn more about firearms, so I created the AGI Inner Circle. It’s a fraternity of over 2,125 people like me (and probably like you), people who are Over-the-Top in their enjoyment of guns and gun-ownership.
Are you Misunderstood?
When you are passionate about guns, not everyone understands you. Sometimes, even your family and friends don’t understand where your passion comes from, but WE do! Finally, there is a place where you will feel completely at home, a place where you will really fit in! The Inner Circle is an exclusive group of people who KNOW how you feel about your guns, we are a firearms brotherhood. The AGI Inner Circle provides the place for like-minded people to share their love of firearms and shooting sports in a positive environment.
What we are NOT…
We are not a political, gun-rights’ organization. There are a number of great organizations including: the NRA, Gun Owners of America, JFPO and 2nd Amendment Foundation to name a few that perform important roles in preserving our rights as firearms owners. We applaud and support each of those organizations. But, we created the Inner Circle with a different purpose in mind.

This is a Brotherhood of Hard-Core Gun Lovers. If you only go plinking or hunting once in a while or own just a gun for personal defense, then this probably isn’t for you. Our product reviews are second-to-none. Why? Since we do NOT accept advertising in GunTech, so we aren’t afraid to tell the truth when we review an item! We conduct THOROUGH firearms evaluations and reviews. First, the gun is given a detailed bench evaluation by our expert gunsmiths. Second, we range test the gun. We test for: accuracy, muzzle velocity, decibel level, trigger pull and reliability. Several shooters from large to small (including women) run a minimum of 500 rounds through the gun and give their feedback. You see the actual results, no holds barred.
We don’t pull any punches when we evaluate the latest products and accessories either. We generally won’t even bother showing you any products that we don’t personally recommend or use. The Inner-Circle Connection
A newsletter accompanies your GunTech DVD Video Magazine each month. The “Inner Circle Connection” is packed with in-depth articles: custom gun builds, projects submitted from the members, history of firearms as well as product reviews and recommendations. The articles are intended to help you avoid some of the pitfalls others have experienced in the absence of these valuable articles (you get to learn from their mistakes) and to simply give you exposure to new material to expand your knowledge (July we covered Binocular Basics).
The newsletter contains a program guide of what is in this month’s GunTech DVD and what to expect in the upcoming issue. It contains an index listing all of the past segments on gun assembly/disassembly providing you a quick reference to find the material you may need. We also include special manufacturer’s discounts for members only and free samples from manufactures like S&W for our members to test and evaluate (July we tested CLP, their premium lubricant and protectant with Cerlon). The newsletter is three-hole punched so you can organize and collect all your issues in a binder.
New AGI Inner Circle Membership Website
GunTechMag.com, the new website, incorporates many suggestions for content from our members. We have an open section and a member’s only section. The member’s only section provides articles on members’ guns, members’ projects, members’ tales (hunting adventures) and bench tips (we also archive the previous months’ articles). We also have a copy of the entire volume of Inner Circle newsletters on file for you to reference from the website.
The site contains a complete index of all the articles covered in the past GunTech DVD. At a quick glance, you can see what DVD to reference for the disassembly/ reassembly on the Remington 740/742 Rifles, for example. We throw in a little humor weekly for your entertainment as well. As more of our members volunteer to write about their projects, we will continue to add material in these sections.
Of course we still have the interactive discussion board. On the previous discussion board you were able to post your questions and Instructor Ken Brooks would then respond with the information needed to assist you. With the new website there are a couple of different options. We have added a section called ‘Forum’ which is open and available to all visitors of the GunTechMag.com” website. Anyone who visits the site has the opportunity to post comments and questions with other visitors and members adding to the dialog. Jack Landis will periodically review this board and contribute his knowledge when appropriate. We feature an ‘Ask The Pro’s’ section for Inner Circle members only allowing the same direct, on-line access to ask either Ken or Jack questions.
